Qian Yi Metaphysics (謙易命理) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Who we are

Qian Yi Metaphysics is a business registered in Singapore (UEN 53508075A). In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Qian Yi Metaphysics. “You” refers to anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or books a consultation.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services.

• When you send an enquiry or booking form: your name, mobile number, email address, and any message you send us.
• For chart readings (My Life Chart, Existing Client Review): your date, time and place of birth, how you know your birth time, your gender, and the areas of life you would like to focus on. If you book a couple, compatibility or business-partner reading, we also collect the same birth details for the other person.
• For Feng Shui consultations: the property address, type, size and floor plan, the birth details of household members you choose to share, and your areas of focus. During the visit we take compass readings and photos of the property for the audit.
• For payments: the name and reference shown on your PayNow transfer. We do not collect or store any card or bank account details.

Our website itself does not store anything you enter. Enquiry and booking forms simply open your own WhatsApp or email app with your details filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send.

3. Our free online calculators

The free BaZi and Zi Wei calculators on our website run entirely in your browser. The birth details you enter are not sent to us or stored by us. If you choose to book from your results, your details are carried over to the booking page within your browser only. When you close the tab, the information is gone.

4. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• respond to your enquiries;
• schedule, confirm and conduct your consultation;
• prepare your chart analysis or Feng Shui report;
• process deposits, payments and rescheduling;
• provide follow-up support and future reviews you request; and
• keep business and accounting records required by law.

We will not use your data for any other purpose without asking you first. We will only send you news or updates if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

5. Consent

By sending us a form or booking a consultation, you consent to us collecting and using your personal data as described in this policy.

If you provide personal data about someone else, such as your partner, business partner or household members, you confirm that they know about it and have agreed to it.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. If you do, we may not be able to continue providing our services to you.

6. Confidentiality of your consultation

What you share with us during a consultation stays confidential. We will not disclose your chart, report or personal circumstances to anyone without your permission, unless required by law.

We sometimes share educational content on social media. We will never use your chart or story in a way that could identify you without your explicit consent.

7. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:

• Email: booking forms and emails reach our business email, which is handled by Google (Gmail).
• Messaging: if you contact us via WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, those platforms handle your messages under their own privacy policies.
• Website hosting: Cloudflare hosts our website and processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect it.

Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we rely on providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law or by a public authority.

8. How we protect your data

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use, loss or disclosure. These include secure, password-protected accounts and restricted access to client records. Printed reports and documents are kept securely.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as required by law.

9. How long we keep your data

We keep your consultation records for as long as you remain a client, so we can support future reviews and follow-up questions. Payment records are kept for at least five years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.

You can ask us to delete your consultation records at any time, except where we must keep them by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

10. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
• correct any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
• stop using, or delete, your personal data.

We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

11. Minors

Our services are intended for adults aged 21 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Where an existing client seeks guidance as a parent, any information about their child is used only to support that consultation and is kept confidential.

12. Cookies and tracking

Our website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It remembers your language choice (English or 中文) in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device.

Our homepage shows our Instagram feed, which is loaded from Instagram. Instagram may set its own cookies when it loads, under Meta's privacy policy.

13. Links to other websites

Our website links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
